We cannot even begin to express what a fantastic wedding we had at the Appel Inn!! The gathering space and the grounds are absolutely gorgeous (married in July)!!! Laurie was such a great help and will give you her honest advice! That is so helpful when there's so many things people 'think' they need for a wedding. Laurie really helps you stick to your budget and can direct you towards items you can cut out. Laurie spent around 6 hours over multiple meetings with us. We would highly recommend a meeting even if you have a good idea of what you think you want. We were able to cut out $$ and still have the same effects we were going for as a direct result of our meetings.We had a great wedding and great experience! We would highly recommend the Appel Inn and Laurie to anyone and everyone who is looking to get married!!! Our day was perfect thanks to Laurie!!!

The Appel Inn has the most beautiful grounds around and they can accommodate many layouts. Whether you're going for an outside or inside venue, the Appel Inn is the most versatile we've ever seen! They were even happy to work with our non-traditional Day of the Dead/Celebration of life themed event.

I don't know where to start! I knew as soon as we arrived at the Appel that I was going to love it. It was perfect for my country rustic, but still elegant wedding. We had the ceremony outside, it was perfect. Everything went so smoothly and looked beautiful. In the Gathering Space, everything looked so beautiful. I had been there so many times before, I couldn't believe it was finally set up for MY wedding! Laurie was a great help along the whole way, any questions I had, she helped. Gave me a list of vendors that she has commonly worked with and I wouldn't change any of those decisions for the world, they all worked with us and gave us exactly what we wanted! Laurie was also accommodating with letting us put a sign we bought in the ground, letting us use centerpieces for no additional charge and having flexibility on meeting times. The only thing I wish was that we could have been there longer, it felt like the night just flew by me while standing still!

We also booked our honeymoon with Laurie at Sandals Royal Caribbean in Jamaica - it was AMAZING, just like she said I would be. It was nice because we could book early and then any new specials on the room that made a cheaper room price, she switched it for us! No charges from Sandals. We ended up saving $2000 by the time we actually paid for it from when we first booked it. You could also change your booking after you put the deposit down as well, which was nice incase we couldn't afford it. We will be booking another one with her for 2016!

Everything was just perfect. All of my guests are still talking about how beautiful everything was and how nice the place was :) It was wonderful.

This property was everything I was looking for and more. After booking my wedding I could not wait for my wedding day! After a few more meetings with the owner however my opinion changed. I still loved the property but the owner was rude and condescending. I left one meeting on the verge of tears.

Many guests came up to me on my wedding night and the next morning to tell me how awful the owner was to them. I was mortified. It's definitely not how I expected my evening to go. I cannot say enough about my catering company and other vendors, if it weren't for their compensation of the owners my day would have been a total flop!

The Appel Inn is such a beautiful venue! As soon as I found it on the internet, I knew that was the place I wanted to hold my wedding! We were allowed to bring all our decorations and what not the night before and Laurie set it up for us with our caterers and lifted a huge weight off my shoulders. Laurie and her husband Gerd helped unload our cars and really made us feel comfortable leaving our stuff there. The day of the wedding ran smoothly and Laurie was there every step of the way that day to answer any questions as the day went on! They also helped with the clean up and made sure all our things were collected and neatly placed together to be left for the night so we didn't have to worry about them that night! The only thing was trying to get ahold of Laurie on the days prior to the wedding. I had to email/call more than once in order to get an answer but in the end my day was perfect!!!
