Beth and Mitch were so amazing to work with! On value, Beth was so amazing at telling me what ideas I had would go over like in person and often had suggestions that were similar but that would work much better for a morning, outdoor, June wedding and brunch. On looks, Mitch took my inspiration photos and made them 1000 times better in really life! The staff were awesome day of and it was a gorgeous place to get married with delicious food. Being a one stop shop made everything very easy and stress free, plus they were very accommodating for our elderly/wheel chaired guests and food allergy (including gluten and dairy free) guests! -

User2178473 Sent on 06/14/2015The Clark House did an amazing job on my wedding, it was affordable, and all done on just a 6 week notice in June- the craziest part of wedding season. They made the wedding everything I wanted and more, without all of the stress. I would highly recommend this vendor to anyone looking to have a beautiful, stress free wedding. -
User2131624 Sent on 05/13/2015After searching for months, I came across The Clark House and fell in love. Not only is the venue beautiful, but it's affordable on all budgets. Being military and living out of town made planning a wedding a difficult task. Beth was amazing with keeping me informed and emailing back really quickly to answer all my questions. Also, with there being so much included in the contract, the stress of multiple vendors is taken away. After one meeting in person, we had 90% of my wedding planned out.
Our wedding was beautiful! We had so many compliments from our guests. Mitch did an amazing job on the flowers! My bouquet was one of my favorite things about the whole event. I highly recommend this venue. If I had to start over, I would do it all the same. -

Everything from the catering to the flowers were exactly as I had hoped if not better, every detail was perfect. There was not one moment I didn't feel like I was being taken care of; I never had to worry about anything. It was such a smooth and beautiful day thanks to Beth, Carol, and Mitchell. I could never thank them enough!

The natural venue is incredible beautiful but when the team gets all of your "wedding view" into place The Clark House is simply amazing. Each team member at TCH gives his or her time and effort to make sure each bride is treated like an individual and does whatever they can to make a bride's dream day a reality. They will give you their professional opinion while giving you the final decision. The food is awesome and tastes nothing like catered food. The best way I can describe it is a home cooked meal-honestly. The flowers and decor will be flawless-Mitch is simply amazing. I can't say enough good things about The Clark House and their staff. Wondreful people, wonderful place, amazing venue. -

It’s unfortunate that it has come to writing this review, as I hoped it would be handled appropriately by The Clark House.
My wedding was originally scheduled for 5/17/20, and as we all know.. it was rescheduled due to Covid-19. The Clark House was very easy to reschedule with to 9/13/20. However, since the pandemic was still not under control we chose to reduce our guest list to ~25 people. During my last pre-wedding meeting with Beth, she assured me that these reductions would lead to a return of our excess balance since I had already paid a majority of our costs before they were due. However, The Clark House never provided us with a final invoice after the changes, which was very questionable. We were told that the balance would be sent by check on the billing cycle the month after our wedding.
Around 2 months after the wedding I realized that we still had not received the check and the items that were left at the venue. (More on that later.) This is where I began to contact Beth about what happened. The first time she said the items were lost in the mail, it was understandable. But upon more and more follow up and excuses, I am lead to believe that nothing was ever sent at all. Numerous times it was claimed that the check had been sent. Beth said she would send a confirmation of mailing with certified mail, and that never happened. I have also re-sent my address multiple times, since it was claimed that they did not have it. All of these emails were in the same thread, meaning that my address was easily accessible in the earlier emails. I also sent my final email in a different thread to ensure there wasn’t a technical problem with the thread I was sending through.
Eventually, Beth just stopped replying all together. Since then I have called multiple times to reach her. A lady at the restaurant has said she was getting the messages to her, yet no further contact has been initiated from The Clark House. I have moved across the country, which is why I am unable to go to The Clark House myself. I’m to assume they’re just going to keep my money, so any future brides should be cautious when considering using The Clark House as their wedding venue.
Other issues with the venue:
1. $150 of the fees were for the “day of coordinator”. (It was never clear who this person actually was.) I provided a sheet to The Clark House with the name and roles of who would be walking in the wedding. They were to coordinate everyone to walk down the aisle. My grandmother was supposed to be my “flower Granny”. When I was the only person left to walk down the aisle, Beth looks at me and said “Where is the flower Granny?” Causing immediate panic before I walked down the aisle. It was the venue’s job to coordinate and ensure that everyone was present before starting the ceremony.
2. Since we paid the venue to provide 95% of the decorations, I had only one box of our personal things like the guest book, a painting to display, and a wood slice to place our cupcakes on. We had a polaroid photo guest book. I provided decorative washi tape for the guests to place their photos in the book and polaroid photos of my husband and I to place around the table. These photos and tape were missing from the guest book table and were never returned. The guests had to sign the book and just place their photos in a pile. I asked an employee where they went. She said she was not sure and would check. These items were never retrieved by the time we left the venue, and therefore were not taken home with us. The Clark House said they did not know where the photos and tape were. But that they would mail the wood slice back to us. This was never received as it was “lost in the mail”. -
