  The Community HOuse

  The word PERFECT unfortunately does not do justice to how absolutely incredible our wedding was at The Community House! From the beginning of the planning process, they were extremely professional with every question we had, and they even offered up multiple things to help that we didn't even think about.
  The day of the wedding was so stress free it almost felt strange. Whenever someone needed something, it was delivered, whenever something came up, it was taken care of within a blink of an eye.
  We had budgeted a lot of time to setup the ballroom with decor the way we wanted, after doing one table they told us we will do the rest go focus on your day! Absolutely incredible, and im certain the layout was better than anything we could have done! I wish i could add pictures!
  The food was also on time and incredible! Everyone was served like a five-star restaurant, and it tasted like it too!
  
  I cannot say enough about Catherine and the way she treated myself and my wife through the whole process. Getting us everything we needed, making calls on our behalf, calming our nerves... Above and beyond does not even begin to describe it!
  Also wanted to shoutout Nick, Kent, Leon, as individuals that blew us away with their quality of service, however everyone was also wonderful!
  
  We are so happy we picked The Community House for our big day, and we would absolutely recommend them to anyone interested in looking for a venue! 10/10, 5 stars!

  The BEST Experience! Love The Community House!!

  The Community House was the only wedding venue my husband and I toured and we instantly fell in love. The venue is stunning, the food was amazing, and the staff is incredible! We had to postpone our reception 3 times and the staff was SO accommodating and made the postponing process seamless. Lauren Timmerman was great to work with, so responsive, and made our day stress free. All of our guests are still raving about the venue, staff, and the food. Highly recommend The Community House — you won’t regret it!

  Beautiful, delicious, responsive

  Our experience with The Community House was great! We were able to do a FaceTime tour and booked before we’d visited in person. We did experience a couple of changes in point-people, but all were lovely and responsive, and we were just thrilled with the coordinator, Lauren. She and the team handled minor hiccups smoothly. The food was fantastic and beautifully presented, and the chef and team were very accommodating to dietary needs and changes in the menu to add food and bar options when we risked not meeting the minimums due to COVID affecting our guest count. They even packed up a couple of slices of our cutting cake to bring home with us! Everyone was great on the day of, the service was fantastic, and the venue was a very pleasant place to get ready for, and celebrate, our wedding. We highly recommend The Community House.

  We highly recommend the Community House

  We had our daughters wedding here and can't say enough. We had to change the date and they accommodated us with everything. Tim Hunt worked with us throughout. If we had a question he was right on it. I have to say he helped to make this day very special. Also our guests were very impressed, said the venue was beautiful and the food was excellent. I would highly recommend The Community House! Thank you to Tim, the Chef and all of the staff.

  Can’t say enough wonderful things about The Community House!

  I can’t say enough wonderful things about The Community House! My daughter was married during the pandemic which added a bit of stress to the wedding planning. However, the staff at The Community House were so helpful in helping us recreate our wedding. They were on top of the Covid protocol and made the transition easy and safe. We had originally planned to use the outside tented terrace just for our cocktail reception, however when the pandemic changed things, the outdoor space was large enough to host our entire reception--comfortably and elegantly! The food was outstanding. There were so many wonderful dinner choices—we ended up selecting filet mignon and salmon. We received many compliments from our guests about how wonderful the meals were and how attentive the waitstaff was. Our out of town guests loved being in the heart of beautiful Birmingham, MI. Many guests stayed at the Townsend Hotel and the Holiday Inn Express and enjoyed the easy walk to the venue. The Community House is hands down the best place in the greater Birmingham/Bloomfield area to host a wedding or any large event!

  An Elegant Wedding Shower

  The TCH sales planner made the planning fun and simple right down to every detail. No surprises. The elegant setting, gourmet food, prompt and attentive service made for a beautiful wedding shower (40 guests) for my daughter. My daughter was so pleased with everything. I would host another event at TCH for sure!

  Wonderful Venue!

  The Community House made our wedding day perfect! Sarah, the event planner was with us every step of the way! She truly went above and beyond throughout our entire time of working with her! The venue was very accommodation of our wedding schedule/timeline and made sure we always had what we needed! The food was excellent and service was beyond words! All of the staff members checked in with us multiple times throughout dinner and made sure we had everything we needed throughout the whole evening. We received multiple compliments on the food and service. We highly recommend working with Sarah at The Community House!

  Amazing wedding venue!

  Everything about our wedding at The Community House was perfect! Sarah, our community house contact, was extremely helpful and responsive via phone and email for the entire year of planning. She helped keep me on track with things that needed to be done and also provided helpful suggestions of how she had seen it done in the past!
  The room itself was beautiful and exceeded all of my expectations for the day of! It has beautiful chandeliers, lots of windows, great courtyards, and a built in stage which was perfect for a band/to optimize guest tables. We got so many compliments on the food and the service was smooth and efficient. We loved everything about this venue for our wedding reception and would highly recommend it to anyone!

  Our wedding experience was phenomenal! I would highly recommend The House for their excellent planning and prompt follow up (thank you Sarah Tufts). The value, location, plentiful and delicious food (and I'm an Italian who knows food) gorgeous atmosphere in ballroom and cleanliness was top notch. The covered canopy is ideal for a perfect wedding ceremony. In addition, the night of the wedding the added bonus was the professional serving staff; every one of our needs was catered to by the entire staff. I would HIGHLY recommend this hidden jewel in the Detroit Metropolitan area! Thank you again to our planner, Sarah Tufts!

  We cannot say enough nice things about The Community House and our coordinator, Sarah Tufts. The Community House itself created amazing photo ops; from the beautiful tent, to the courtyards, to the reception hall, to the hallways with the staircase and chandeliers. The food was amazing (We had steak, chicken marsala and eggplant parm), the drinks were well mixed and the staff was friendly and efficient. Every waiter stopped us both to say congrats and made the day feel even more special. And we cannot speak highly enough of our coordinator Sarah who executed on our vision flawlessly. We kept expecting something to go wrong, as you always hear, but that moment never came. Sarah juggled every vendor fantastically and coordinated the "day of" perfectly. Any wedding day jitters or concerns were for nothing! If you are a couple who feels the slightest bit of anxiety about planning your big day, you should do so through Sarah and the Community House. They will take amazing care of you.

  I am so happy I chose the Community House as my wedding venue! They did an exceptional job in making the planning process run smoothly, and made sure our day was perfect! My guests loved the food and the staff is so accommodating and friendly! Sarah made planning easy and was there to help with anything we needed. We are very grateful for all of her help! The professionalism from the staff was top notch and our guests even made comments to us on how great there severs were that night. The space is beautiful and there is some great opportunities for photos right outside the building! We used the patio tent for our cocktail hour which guests really enjoyed. I have only good things to say about the Community House and I would highly recommend to anyone!

  Great service, great staff, great food

  What a wonderful and memorable place to hold an important event! Sarah is great to work with--responsive, great suggestions, available, kind--I cannot say enough about how wonderful she was. The staff was great, and I definitely appreciated the fact that Leon knew French and was able to speak with the French grandparents who knew no English. The venue is beautiful, the amenities are great and the service is the best you will find. All our vendors (DJ, florist and photographer) were familiar with the venue (we found the vendors on our own, it was just a coincidence they were all familiar with the venue), so they needed nothing from us except a date and time, which relieved us of some of the details. The food was wonderful and the price was great compared to so many other venues. I look forward to the next opportunity to host an event at the Community House. They make it easy and fantastic!

  Best Decision Ever!

  The Community House was the best decision we made for our wedding day! My wedding was June 8, 2019 and not only was the weather perfect, the level of service we received from The Community House was perfect as well! Sarah was our POC for our wedding; she was very helpful, responsive, professional and she even had a few ideas/suggestions for our big day! The food was excellent and our guests raved about how timely and elegant our wedding and reception turned out. I would definitely recommend The Community House for your wedding!

  Dec Wedding

  The community house is a wonderful place to have a wedding. Sarah, the event coordinator was amazing!!! I didn’t have a wedding planner and I asked her tons of questions. She was always super responsive and even let me know about things I hadn’t thought of. All the guests said the venue was great and they enjoyed the food. Definitely recommend!

  This venue is truly a class act! We worked with Sarah through our whole planning process and she is hands down the best. Sarah is so easy going and professional; she truly listens to what you want for your big day and makes sure that things run perfectly. Everything about our wedding day was a fairytale come true! The staff at the venue were so kind and professional, the food was delicious and gourmet, and the venue itself is so intimate. On the day of our wedding, Sarah made sure that things ran seamlessly and worked so well with all of our vendors to make sure the day was perfect. Absolutely NOTHING went wrong and I can accredit a lot of this to The Community House. I highly recommend them for any event!

On the day of our wedding, Sarah made sure that things ran seamlessly and worked so well with all of our vendors to make sure the day was perfect. Absolutely NOTHING went wrong and I can accredit a lot of this to The Community House. I highly recommend them for any event!

  The venue is perfect for an outdoor ceremony and indoor reception. Sarah Tufts was the most helpful and accommodating ‘organizer’ we could have ever asked for! The drinks and food flowed all night and everything went perfectly!!

  Everything was perfect. It was well organized. The wait staff was friendly, professional, and on top of everything. I can't say enough great things about Sarah, the event coordinator. She was personable, extremely responsive, and so great to work with. We loved having our wedding here!

  Perfect Wedding Venue!!!

  I am so happy I chose the Community House as my wedding venue! They did an exceptional job in making the planning process run smoothly, and made sure our day was perfect! My guests loved the food and the staff is so accommodating and friendly! Sarah made planning easy and was there to help with anything we needed. We are very grateful for all of her help! The professionalism from the staff was top notch and our guests even made comments to us on how great there severs were that night. The space is beautiful and there is some great opportunities for photos right outside the building! We used the patio tent for our cocktail hour which guests really enjoyed. I have only good things to say about the Community House and I would highly recommend to anyone!

  Tim made every bit of this experience pleasant, easy, affordable and worked with every question/whim/solution that we came up with. Ultimately while we were over budget, it was worth every cent for what I 'put up with' so they say, which honestly if it wasn't for Tim i'd have lost my head already. They not only provide most of the in house services such as set up/tear down (which from my understanding not everyone does this) But he provided me permission to store wedding decorations the day before without a fee, they provided not only a giant room for us to get ready in (which also included a bathroom) and a mens room for them to get ready in (On campus) But they also provided food/tables/chairs/flatware/booze/accessories for the ceremony/access to their in house sound system/etc so it was a basically one stop shop. They even allow outside vendors if you so choose. While we used the suites upstairs for the ceremony we also used the ballroom for our reception. They have actually updated their lighting in the suites and planned to be updating them further throughout the building. Honestly the only out sourced thing I did with my wedding was the dj. I DIY'ed all the decorations and they provided the bird cage for cards. There is so much more I could say but give them a call if you're truely thinking about it. It never hurts to ask/look ;)

  We worked with Sarah to plan our special day. Her and her staff were amazing! Sarah made sure every detail was accounted for and helped us plan the perfect day. The day of staff was GREAT, they set up, served, and tore down everything just how we wanted. They were friendly and attentive. We highly recommend this venue!
