    Food and service were amazing!

    Perfect place to hold a rehearsal dinner. The food was delicious and everyone was very helpful. The owners were very professional and helpful and wonderful to work with.

    Excellent Customer Service and Yummy Food

    My son got married on 11/06/20 in the middle of a pandemic. We had a DIY wedding at Cavendar Castle in Dahlonega. It was hard to find a caterer and then we found Scott’s Downtown in Gainesville. Kay was wonderful to work with and help with suggestions on food and how to follow all the Covid guidelines too. They arrived on time with all the food prepared and ready to serve. Everything worked out great and Kay was always easy to communicate with throughout the entire planning process.

    Excellent venue and food

    We had our son's Rehearsal Dinner at The Loft at Scott's. Kay and the staff were all very helpful and attentive. The Loft was perfect for all our guest and the food was excellent. Highly recommend.

    Beyond our Expectations


    As it turns out, our choice of The Loft at Scotts for our daughter’s wedding reception was fortuitous! We are so pleased with our experience. The room was lovely, and the food was delicious. The service was excellent all around and we especially enjoyed working with Lindsey. We received many compliments from our guests. Our daughter and her husband had a wonderful wedding reception and are completely satisfied.
    Their professionalism and attentive service was exceptional. We will recommend The Loft to our family and friends!

    Exceeded Expectations

    One thing you want to make sure of is that your wedding guests enjoy the food, and our guests were not disappointed. Kay is a pleasure to work with and she knows what she's doing. The quality of service was excellent, and so was the food. This is one thing you won't have to worry about as you plan your wedding activities!

    Elegant! Perfect! Outstanding!

    Elegant! Beautiful! Outstanding! Perfect in every way! These words describe our experience at Scott’s Downtown Restaurant in Gainesville, GA.
    We recently entertained there with a large Bridal Breakfast. It exceeded all our expectations. The owners, Kay and Scott Dixon, were gracious and willing to help in every way. The menu received rave reviews from the guests. A special treat was the Avocado Toast and Bananas Foster French Toast with Rum Foster Syrup. Fabulous!
    The wait staff was pleasant and obviously cared about their service. We highly recommend Scott’s for lunch, a lovely evening meal, or a celebratory party. Whatever you choose, we are confident it will be delightful.

    Kay and her team did an incredible job at making our rehearsal dinner absolutely amazing! They worked with us to create a menu of all of our favorite foods and they were so accommodating to our wishes for the evening. I never had to lift a finger (except for my wine glass) at the event and I was thrilled with the venue, food and staff. You will not be disappointed if you choose Scott's!

    We had our daughter’s wedding reception at The Loft at Scott’s. Words seem inadequate to express how wonderful our experience was. Every detail including planning meetings, the menu, the food, all the services provided by the staff at Scott's, the venue, the decor and the coordination with participating vendors was executed with a very high level of professionalism. We have received numerous positive comments from family and friends about how much they enjoyed the reception at Scott’s. We would recommend Scott’s without reservation to anyone planning a special event like a wedding.

    I 'say enough good things about Scotts On the Square. Professional staff, service was flawless, listened to what I wanted and delivered plus some. The food was exceptional!!! My guest had only great things to say. My out of town guest were impressed. This is the best restaurant in North Georgia hands down. Scott and Kay went way beyond my expectations.

    It was great working with them. Gave great service and their prices are reasonable. The bar tenders were very polite and friendly.

    We had our Wedding & Reception at the Loft above the restaurant and it was a dream come true experience!! We received so many compliments on the venue and how beautiful it was! The food and service staff were Amazing and I would recommend this to anyone for a wedding, reception, catering, etc. We are going to go back there for our one year anniversary to eat in the restaurant! We hope to do this on every anniversary for many years to come! I can't say enough good things about this restaurant and our experience working with them! They were so accommodating and helped me with everything on my "wish list" to make my wedding day and the reception everything I had dreamed of!

    The loft at scotts was the best place i could ever imagine having my reception at. The whole staff, the owner, everyone was fantastic. They were easy to get in touch with when we needed to, they were very flexible, understanding, and simply perfect. Allowed us to come look at the spot atleast a dozen times with no appointment to. The food was amazing! The building is beautiful and they can customize it to your size of party. I would recommend them to anyone! and not just for a reception but for catering or lunch/dinner!

    We had our 50 year high school reunion at The Loft at Scott's and I cannot begin to express what a extraordinary evening we had. Working with the owners was a delightful experience…from planning the menu to coordinating our outside vendors with them...all handled with ease and professionalism. The venue itself is so charming, creating quite the ambiance for our event. I would say they went above and beyond to make sure our experience was special and flawless! The staff was very polite and attentive…the food was superbly displayed and absolutely delicious…not a complaint in the house...everyone who attended was impressed!! I have already recommended Scott’s to others who have inquired where to have their reunion. I can assure anyone using the Loft at Scott's for your special event will not be disappointed!!

    We had a wonderful wedding ceremony and reception at Scott's. Food is always superb there and Kay was very professional and flexible to work with. The staff were wonderful and very responsive to each and every request that we made of them. All in all a great venue to have what we considered and upscale but casual wedding for an older couple. Great fun with entertainment and dancing with family and friends!

    Perfect venue for rehearsal dinner- very romantic, great personalized service, delicious food (grilled sirloin with demi glace and chocolate peanut butter cake). Fantastic value. Loved this place. Professional and friendly staff.
