The Museum of Flight was the perfect venue for our aviation themed wedding. Stunning ceremony and reception venues, wonderful exhibits showcasing the aviation legacy of the Seattle area, and the beautiful backdrop of Mt. Rainier made it a no brainer. I highly recommend choosing the Seattle Museum of Flight!

This venue was absolutely beautiful. We rented the Skyline Room. It over looked the runway, with huge windows all around. The space was perfect to transform our special day to such an amazing level. The staff who catered and transformed the room from the ceremony space to our reception space was so quick it was amazing. Everyone was so efficient and polite. Our wedding was the perfect day thanks to the readiness and friendliness of everyone who worked at the Museum of Flight. They made our day just that much more special. I would highly recommend them, hands down.

As a fellow Boeing employee, looking at the Museum of Flight everyday after work sparked an interest for me when I got engaged. The second I started planning my wedding I realized how many details there was to go over. Meagan McGuire and Andrea Sliger were so organized, amazing, creative, and helpful during the entire process. Everyone said it was the best wedding venue that they had every been through. The great gallery was able to hold all 300+ guests of ours plus a band. The flight simulators and side gallery activities were a really big hit. The event could not have been more perfect! Thanks to everyone at the MOF for all their help in making my wedding the most perfect day of my life!

First of all, the space is beautiful. It's well lit with natural lighting, and the airplanes in the museum are just gorgeous. The Museum of Flight provides a unique, special venue for any style of wedding. We got married there last month, and after a year and a half of planning, I can say that it went off without a hitch! Bette Russo, the Coordinator for the Museum, is easy going, happy to help, and incredibly responsive via both phone and email. She was ready to answer all my questions, and made sure that even though another wedding was booked the same day, it was in a totally different space, and the one time we did cross paths, was during photos, which made for great photo ops with me and the other bride!
You do have to use their caterer- which is McCormick and Scmick's. Which, while at first feels limiting, as we got further into the planning, I realized what a great asset that actually is. The catering staff knew the space, so set up and takedown was fluid, and easy. And Joanne Rawley, our contact was a dream to work with. She helped us tailor the menu to our needs, and was flexible with our bar requests. Her onsite staff was incredible, and all our guests loved the menu. (The gnocchi is amazing!)
This was the perfect venue for our wedding, and because of the caring staff, and employees of the museum, our wedding went splendidly!
We also rented a couple rooms for getting ready during the day, which were catered with cheese plates and mimosas. A great addition, and we had the room for the whole night, so my wedding party had a place to escape if anyone needed any down time.)
(Also, your guests get admission to the museum the day of the event, which was a great way to keep some of our out of town guests occupied during the day, since we didn't get married till 6PM).

I loved this venue. It was inexpensive and easy to book. You can do a ceremony here, but I only had the reception. We only encountered one problem. They booked an event in the main gallery at 6:00 p.m. and my guests were supposed to be able to tour until then, but the staff wouldn't let them in and wouldn't let them in the banquet room until 6:00. Luckily, there are other galleries to view.

I had my wedding ceremony and reception here in August of 2011. The venue is incredible! Our guests loved that they could come early and tour the museum from free. There lots of photo ops with the planes and things for kids to do. And the giant windows make for great lighting! And the ambiance of the Museum of Flight made up for the food! The Museum coordinators are easy to work with and truly made it a special day! And they have a bridal suite available for rent that I highly recommend! Plus there's free parking and lots of it!

The Museum of Flight's in-house caterer is McCormick & Schmick's and you have to use them. They are very difficult to work with. They do not let you do a tasting of their food (and you can't get most of their menu items at their restaurants), and now I know why. The prime rib was actually grey and unappetizing (according to many of my guests) and the fish could be smelt from across the table (according to other guests). The only good item was our vegan option.

Additionally, our ceremony was delayed 30 minutes because some of McCormick & Schmick's staff hadn't arrived yet to set up the venue! And during a very special hula dance by the bride a waiter walked in front of the dance floor not once but twice to clear away dishes, thereby ruining video of this special moment.

And their catering manager was a total pain to work with. It took weeks for her to return emails and then she went on vacation the week of my wedding and it was like pulling teeth to get a new contact name from her for the person who would actually be working my wedding.

I wanted to get married here from the moment I started planning my weeding. So much so that I overlooked a few things.. like no candles allowed in the museum.. and decorations were very limited and only one caterer (McCormick's) was approved, and a limited number of florists and cake bakeries and so one and so one... but they had good food and a reasonably creative menu and the florist was great and the cake was fine and I'm still married so....

Wow! This place was awful. The actual museum was great, but you can only get food through their in house caterer, McCormick and Schmuck's. The food was not the best, especially for the price. Also, the setup fell through the cracks for the museum. There was a picture diagram of the room layout that I supposedly approved. The first I saw of it (the room layout) was when I arrived at the museum the day of. I will not recommend this place and if you have to, do not get the food!!!
