The Nyack Seaport Reviews

We recently had our wedding at The Nyack Seaport (July, 2022). Angelo and Tommy were the sweetest, funniest, and kindest hosts ever. We ended p going with all of their recommended vendors for music, flowers, cake, and photography. All the vendors we used through the Seaport were incredible and held themselves up to the same level of professionalism as the Seaport. Angelo and Tommy really took care of everything to make sure our day ran perfectly. Audrey, the maître d was incredible and so kind. She made sure we were taken care of and always made time to check on the two of us to see if we had eaten, sat, had something to drink, etc. All of the staff was so professional and kind.

The room itself was beautiful, as well. We chose to go with minimal decorations because it was already so gorgeous! With it's clean, classic, and elegant look, plus the outstanding views of the water, there was nothing we could have added that would have made the room more beautiful.

A few weeks after our wedding, people are still calling us to tell us how incredible the food was! We had so much food at the cocktail hour people were surprised that there was still a full meal to come after!

We really can't recommend The Nyack Seaport enough. Thank you so much for such wonderful memories of our wedding day!

Nyack Seaport is a hidden gem. We held our recent December wedding there and I can’t say enough about the staff or venue. It is family-owned and they make you feel like one of the family as opposed to a larger impersonal banquet hall. They clearly care about food and are a restaurant style caterer; they were even so accommodating as to have a special meal prepared for my 92 year old grandfather! We held our ceremony there as well, with the Hudson River in the background at sunset. Village of Nyack memorial park is next door and a fantastic spot for photos. Cocktail hour and Viennese hour were great. I also loved that they had a large dance floor. The wedding coordinator is responsive and thorough. Her assistant and the maitre d were also excellent. The one thing I would flag is if you have disabled guests; there is a ramp on the other side of the building but ensure it is well coordinated with venue that valet automatically directs disabled folks there. All in all, I highly recommend Nyack Seaport as the great spot for a wedding.

I held my wedding reception at Nyack Seaport last week. From beginning to end, Valicitie was an absolute pleasure to work with. We trusted her knowledge and expertise, and appreciated her flexibility on certain things (we didn't want a wedding cake, but instead opted to serve cupcakes and an ice cream sundae bar). The food was delicious! Even my pickiest eaters commented that the food was a 10, which is not something you usually hear at a wedding. The space is beautiful and requires minimal decorating since you have a beautiful view of the water. I highly recommend Nyack Seaport to all future brides, and if I had to do my wedding all over again, I would definitely keep the location the same.

We could not have selected a better venue! Nyack Seaport was the perfect location for our perfect day.

The Seaport has beautiful views of the Hudson River, and that was what initially struck us during planning. The Seaport and its grounds are the perfect place for photos.

We had our rehearsal dinner, ceremony and reception at the Seaport. The staff is absolutely fantastic: Valicite made sure every detail of our day was perfect. Her staff was responsive and made sure that my husband, our bridal party and our families were comfortable and taken care of, as well as the rest of our guests. For our ceremony, they worked well with the rest of our vendors (DJ, photographer and officiant) to ensure things went off without a hitch.

We received so many compliments on the food! One of my bridesmaids is allergic to tomatoes, and after finding that out the night of the rehearsal, a note was made to ensure she would not receive anything with tomatoes during the reception. All meals was made to order, making it very friendly for those with dietary restrictions.

I would definitely use the Seaport again, and recommend it to anyone in the market for a venue!!

We can not say enough about The Nyack Seaport! Valicitie, Angelo, and the entire staff are absolutely amazing! We had our ceremony and reception at The Nyack Seaport, the entire day was flawless!
Upon meeting Angelo and Valicitie, we knew that they were who we wanted to work with. They knew exactly what we had in mind and just gave us such reassurance that they knew how to do it right. The venue was perfect, it was where we wanted to be, Nyack; and they were willing to make it the type of reception that we had always wanted.
From day 1 Valicitie was right there, answering my crazy questions, and assuring me it was all handled. I trusted her and was so glad to have her as my right hand through this entire process!
The wedding day was perfect. The way the room was set up for the ceremony was beautiful. We left it very simple, the bridge and river views were stunning. After the ceremony everyone went downstairs for the cocktail hour, where we are still hearing how amazing the food was! The guests were inside and outside under heated lamps and really enjoyed the atmosphere. After cocktail hour, the guests were then brought back upstairs, where the ceremony area had been transformed, and was ready for a wedding reception. The way the room was set, was everything we could have dreamed of and more! It was perfect! The food was incredible! We had a tasting prior and knew the food was delicious, but the day of the wedding exceeded what we already thought we knew. We had a stations event reception, with different types of food around the room. Each one was incredible! Once guests realized that each station was different, they were making their was around to taste each one. It was great! The service was incredible! From the bartenders, servers, waitstaff, maitre'd, valet, everyone was so polite, helpful and extremely accommodating. This was the perfect place for our wedding & we loved every minute of the day! Thank you Valicitie for making our day perfect!

Valicitie, Angelo, and the entire staff of The Nyack Seaport are the greatest team to work with and our wedding was wonderful because they all do their jobs really well. My guests raved about the food and the service. Audrey was my right hand all day and she didn't skip a beat, from getting me bustled to keeping track of the bridal party's personal items, she made the day seamless. Valicitie and Angelo are so easy to work with and incredibly professional and will make you feel right at home in their lovely family-run venue. The staff even went out of their way to remove parking stickers that were mistakenly put on the cars of some of the bridal party so that they didn't have to deal with it after the wedding was finished. I cannot thank them enough for making our special day feel like a breeze.

We recently got married at the Nyack Seaport and could not have asked for a more perfect day. I have to start with saying how amazing Valicitie was to work with. Right from the beginning she was always there to answer my questions, give me her imput and just keep me sane :) She is amazing at what she does and really made the whole wedding planning experience fabulous. Valicitie recommended many of the vendors we used and one vendor was better than the next. She was constant support to myself and family during the planning process. Three weeks later our guests are still telling us how delicious the food was at the wedding. My husband actually had food wrapped from the cocktail hour (GET THE BRISKET) to eat when we got back to the hotel. Valicitie worked to accomodate everything I asked for. The Seaport was the perfect venue for our wedding of 135 people. I kept being told I could not wish for perfect but I can honestly say my day was perfect and Valicitie and the staff at the Seaport had alot to do with my perfect wedding day. THANK YOU Valicitie :)

We could not have asked for a more perfect experience. We knew from our first meeting with Angelo that we were going to be well taken care of. This venue is family owned and operated and I think that made all the difference. Angelo and his daughter Valicitie were wonderful to work with from the planning to the big day. They were always there to answer questions and were extremely accommodating with any special requests we had. Our expectations were more than exceeded on our wedding day. As soon as we pulled up Angelo was there with a huge smile waiting to greet us. The venue was beautiful, the service was impeccable and the food was plentiful and absolutely delicious. Our guests still comment on how wonderful the food was and how impressed they were with the service. I would highly recommend the Nyack Seaport to any bride and groom or for any special occasion. We truly had an amazing reception!

We had our reception at the Nyack Seaport. Valicitie and Angelo Rubino are amazing to work with. Anything I asked for was no problem, everything I wanted was no problem. On the day of our wedding we had run into a few snags before getting to the venue, but once we walked into the Nyack Seaport everything was seamless. We forgot my reception headpiece and my garter at the hotel, they drove to hotel and got it during cocktail hour. Frank was our Matradee and we wanted for nothing the whole night. We had a wedding crasher that he spotted before we even spotted and he took care of it perfectly. Valicitie was there from beginning to end. The view is amazing, the food was amazing, but the staff will make your wedding everything you want it to be and more.

As my husband and I plan on heading back to the Nyack Seaport to celebrate our anniversary tonight, I realized that we never shared how wonderful our experience was working with Valicitie and Anthony (owner). The Westchester/Rockland area is full of overpriced "wedding mill" catering halls and hotels who nickel and dime you, especially if you want to throw a party with your own personal preferences. A family owned business makes all the difference in the world! Our criteria was good food, plenty of it, and a good time. And that's exactly what we got! From our first meeting with Valicitie, we knew it was the right fit. We talked about the preferences we had for food and drinks- beer, liquor, cocktail hour stations, specialty signature drinks- nothing over the top, just some personalization. We were waiting for her to drop the bomb about what the surcharges would be. There weren't ANY! She was happy to accommodate our preferences within reason, and that's a huge deal to us. It made us feel like she cared. We had trouble finding a cocktail hour pianist, she found us one last minute. We provided our own candy and jars, and they set it up for us with no questions asked. On our actual wedding day, things were pretty much flawless. The Maitre'd kept us on schedule from taking pictures at the dock, to joining cocktail hour, and throughout the reception. Valicitie strongly recommended that we join our guests for cocktail hour, and we were so glad that we did. We got a chance to greet everyone personally, limiting the time we had to spend going from table to table later on in the night. Our guests raved about champagne and pomegranate liquor specialty drink, the cocktail hour, food (pumpkin butternut squash ravioli was to die for), generous drink pours, and an overall great time. We truly didn't want for anything for the entire evening thanks to Angelo and the Maitre'd. We highly recommend entrusting Valitcitie with your special day, you won't be disappointed!

We chose the Nyack Seaport for our July wedding and couldn't be happier. I highly recommend the Seaport if you are having a wedding on the smaller side (150 and under). We received so many compliments on the venue. Two guests even told me they were going to recommend the Seaport to their engaged friends. The upstairs is all windows overlooking the Hudson and the Tappan Zee Bridge. It really looked beautiful at night. We also had our ceremony upstairs as well. The Seaport did a very nice champange greeting for the guests as they arrived for the ceremony which was a really elegant touch and I haven't seen that done before. We got a lot of compliments from our guests about the cocktail hour food as well. The dance floor is large and the bar is very elegant. Valicitie and Angelo were great to work with and really accommodated all of our requests. Audrey did an amazing job as the bridal attendant. She did my bustle in two seconds and really made sure we were taken care of. Prior to booking the venue, Angelo invited both of us and our parents to come for a tasting which was a very nice gesture. None of the other venues we visited offered that.

Our recent wedding (11/5) at the Nyack Seaport was just perfect. Valicitie was so hands on and helpful every step of the way. She called me just days before the wedding with suggestions regarding our table arrangement choices. Since she was the professional we decided to go ahead with her suggestions and were so glad we did because the room looked absolutely incredible! When I arrived with the rest of my bridal party before the ceremony (which we had in the main ballroom) Valicitie was prepared for everything. Whether it be a curling iron to fix any hair blunders that occured on the way there, bobby pins, oil blotting pads you name it she was on it for me and my girls. One of my maid of honors split the back of her dress open while dancing. I had no idea until I walked into my bridal suite half way thru the wedding and saw Valicitie sewing her right up-so calm and so helpful. Our guests couldn't stop raving about the incredible views of the water and bridge, the service and the food. We are so happy that we chose the Nyack Seaport to celebrate our special day and would highly recommend this venue to any bride in the tri state area.

The food wa amzing from coacktail hour until the cutting of the cake. Whenever we need anything, they were always there. They also worked with us and stayed in contact with us for the entire year we were planning. It was woderful.

Absolute perfection. My day was planned perfectly to a T. Everyone who works at this place treats is so incredibly competent. The food was impeccable. Every detail was accounted for - it was just a wonderful day and I'll never forget it. 5 stars all around!

The best night of my life!!! My husband & I could not have wished for a better wedding reception! It was absolutely gorgeous, food was amazing & the staff was at my beck and call. I was never left looking for anything it's like they knew what I wanted before I even had to ask. Angelo & his daughter are awesome! I had such an amazing event that we also had my baby shower there in June of 2012. My husband & I celebrated our anniversary at the restaurant last yr (2012) & are planning on going there again tomorrow to celebrate 2013!

The Nyack Seaport exceeded our expectations for our wedding. The food was delicious (we had many Italians fly in from Italy there and I was afraid they would be too critical since we all know nothing beats food in Italy- but even they raved about the food!). The room looked beautiful, the view was amazing and the whole night could not have gone smoother! I highly recommend the Nyack Seaport to anyone for their wedding.

Only my evening reception was held here. They offer valet and shuttle, which was really appreciated by the guests. Our room was able to accomodate my rather large guest list and didn't result in everyone feeling smushed together. We received quite a few suggestions prior to the wedding and everything fell into place exactly how we had hoped. The view from the windows is gorgeous and the lighting was really nice, not too dark, not to bright.

The venue is gorgeous. We couldn't have asked for a more beautiful backdrop for our wedding than the Hudson River and the Tappan Zee bridge.

Words cannot describe how fantastic the team is at the Nyack Seaport! After meeting with Valicitie and Angelo we had high expectations for our wedding and they were exceeded! They made sure to go over all the details with us in advance to make sure that we were comfortable with our choices and they didn't mind me calling with questions. We were surprised on the day of our wedding that there was a person on staff whose sole job was to help my new husband and I all night. She brought us drinks, made sure that our food was hot and ready when we wanted to eat, bustled my wedding dress, and even helped me clean the champagne spill from my dress! She made the night that much more special (and that much less stressful).

The Nyack Seaport is fantastic and such a find! A great value - they are willing to work with your budget but don't want to cut the quality of the event. They accommodated all of our requests and didn't nickle and dime us for everything. There was so much food that some of our guests thought that the cocktail hour was dinner! The food was truly the best I've had at any wedding and is truly restaurant quality.

I'd give the Nyack Seaport 10 stars if I could!

We had our ceremony & reception at Nyack Seaport, and everything went perfectly. The view was great, the food was delicious, and the entire process was very easy. I encourage any bride who wants a simple yet elegant reception to turn to the Nyack Seaport.

I cannot say enough good things about Nyack Seaport. We had our wedding there on 12/19 in a blizzard, but you'd never have known, they took such amazing care of us and everything was FLAWLESS. I had put a lot of effort into the details, and they made sure every single one was as I asked. The food was hot and delicious, and everyone commented on how MUCH there was! My husband and I also felt completely taken care of the entire day. Thanks to Angelo and Valicitie for making our day perfect!!

I cannot say enough about Angelo, Valicite and everyone else who works at the Nyack Seaport. In planning our wedding, they were easily accessible and made sure everything we wanted at our wedding was done. The Matri D was exceptional. He made sure I was well taken care of at all times, everytime I turned around he was there. As for the food, we received nothing but compliments!! I have to say, we didn't get to see everything at the cocktail hour, but we were told it was great....

Nyack Seaport is a beautiful place to have a wedding or any event! The food is amazing, the view is spectacular and the price is so affordable!! They made my day so special and were there to answer any questions I had throughout my wedding planning. My one and only complaint is that they ID'd my bridesmaid's at the bar (we are 24!) and gave my husband a little bit of a hard time when ordering a round of shots for a bunch of people (the bartender stated that he "needed to see everyone" who was getting a shot) - we did not have many people who were under 21 attending the wedding (only 3 or 4 and they were noticeably younger). To me, this was a little embarrassing because no one (especially a bridesmaid) wants to have to go find their ID to get a drink at the bar of the wedding that they are a part of. But, that would honestly be my only complaint and, other than that, the reception was a blast!!

Nyack seaport was great place for wedding. The best thing was the food. Our wedding was not a big one, just family and relatives and very close friends, so we wanted to focus on the quality of the food, which fulfilled our needs. So many compliments about the food, some of the guests said that they've ever had such a good food at other weddings. Cocktail hour hors d'oeuvres was extravagant, best quality, and the service at the reception dinner was very professional. They had variety of menu we could choose before wedding, and in addition, guests do not have to choose menu before wedding (many places request). They take orders if the guests need special drink or food at the dinner table, and the waiters were very professional, I could say it was quite a top quality restaurant service. I was so nervous at the wedding day, but all the crews were well organized, and it relieved me. Just one thing, the reason I marked 4.5 for the value for the cost is that they have connection with other vendors, such as florist, photography, etc. I thought it is good that they took care of everything at first, but the value of other vendors weren't good and over priced. Make sure to find your own for your satisfaction.

Lovely venue, great food, attentive staff. A great place to get married or any important event! Guests raved about food and venue ambiance. Very pleased with everything!
