This review is a little late, but our wedding in March 2022 was absolutely amazing! As many reviews mention, Emily is so great to work with-- she is SO responsive, professional, and just super cool! She communicated so well with our planner and vendors to make sure everything was perfect on the day of! Most of our guests were from out of town and many of them stayed at the hotel. We got rave reviews about the accommodations, the food, and, of course, the wedding! Highly recommend Emily & The Scottsdale Resort at McCormick Ranch!The Scottsdale Resort and Spa's reply:

Baby Hook!!!! Thank you, thank you, thank you, for making our special day run so smoothly and going above and beyond with our ceremony and reception. It was such a pleasure working with Emily Kix, coordinating everything together while dealing with a global pandemic, and pulling it all off with flying colors!!! You Rock Emily, and your crew at The Scottsdale are top notch. Our big day was perfect and we are excited to celebrate our 1 year anniversary with you in October! I am getting married at Scottsdale Resort at McCormick Ranch in April 2020. Before I got engaged, I had pictured my wedding at Scottsdale Resort at McCormick Ranch. Love the resort that it's hidden off the beaten path, and its own oasis. Very cute and quaint, and love Paradise Park Lawn and the ballrooms are a great size with amazing chandeliers. I have planned events for a living, and I know how important the staff is to your special day. Let me just say, Emily blew me away. I was already in love with the resort, but did have other options in mind, but I didnt have to keep looking when I was working with Emily. I had a lot of questions, and she was so quick to respond, and listened to me as I explained what i was looking for. She had photos to show to visualize, she understood my budget, and overall an amazing personality and person to work with. Emily is top notch, and I am beyond excited to have her help plan my big day. She is proactive with recommendations when she starts to see your vision, and totally sold the venue to me. There are so many venues out there, but not all have amazing service like Emily Kix.The Scottsdale Resort and Spa's reply:

We couldn’t have picked a better venue for our wedding than The Scottsdale Resort at McCormick Ranch. We toured a lot of other venues and resorts prior to visiting McCormick Ranch and once we saw the grounds of the resort, we knew that this would be a perfect setting for our special weekend. Our wedding was multicultural that mixed both Hindu and Buddhist traditions and took place over 2 days and consisted of 4 separate events. Everything turned out better than we could have ever imagined thanks to the staff of the resort.
We can’t say enough great things about Chef Subhi. Each event of our wedding had food service and Chef Subhi created amazing menus for each meal. His knowledge and execution of the traditional Indian dishes blew our mind. He was able to execute everything from Indian street foods, traditional Indian dishes, and also mix in an Asian fusion style that bridged the gap of pallets of taste. People that attended are still raving about the delicious food Chef Subhi was able to make.
Our wedding cake made by the inhouse baker Mary was amazing!!! Her ability to not only bake a delicious cake, the ability to artfully design it with our color scheme took it over the top.
We had a lot of out of town guests that needed to be situated for the weekend. Debra was able to coordinate with us and our wedding planner in order to make everyone’s lodging situation seamless.
None of this would have been possible without the hard work of Emily Kix. The moment we met her to discuss our possible wedding plans we knew that the McCormick Ranch was the venue for our wedding. She made us feel comfortable and was awesome to work with. Without her coordination with our wedding planner our wonderful wedding weekend would not have been as amazing as it turned out!!! We highly recommend The Scottsdale Resort at McCormick Ranch!!!

Susan Sent on 12/12/2017Wow this venue was incredible!! Unbelievable pricing for what you get. They are willing to negotiate and help your dream come true in your budget. The entire staff is extremely responsive, organized, kind and want you to have the best time ever- and that is what happened! I used to think wedding reviews were dumb because everyone loves their wedding but I do not leave 5 stars for everyone and this resort deserves 10 stars!! I accidentally got red wine spilled on my wedding dress and the staff immediately assisted me getting it out and getting back on the dance floor right away. They left us chocolate covered strawberries and champagne in the honeymoon suite and my husbands favorite candy. The wedding cake that was included was absolutely stunning and everyone raved about it. I can't wait for this to be the location we spend future anniversaries reminiscing in our love story. It is also slightly hidden which makes it more of a gem than other hotels also.

User3009328 Sent on 03/20/2017We worked with Kayla for most of the process and she became family to us. Although she was about to give birth, she wanted to make sure that she didn't miss our day. She responded to our emails very promptly and was very clear in her communication. The tasting was a blast and we were able to customize things so that it was exactly what we wanted. We have people that have severe allergies and they were very considerate of this. Specifically, one of our guest has Celiac Disease and will get really sick from gluten. Usually she has to have salad with vinegar and not really enjoy eating. Somehow, they were able to make the chicken meal completely gluten free (even to the cooking style) and she was so excited to be able to eat the same as everyone and it was the first good meal she had eaten in a while. Overall, our guests still claim that the food was the best they have ever had (including food outside of wedding food). The resort is so beautiful and unique and was perfect for our guests that were mainly out of town. We worked with Selma as our catering organizer for the day and she made sure the food was out (and still warm) while making sure that the bride and groom had drinks. Our bartender was a hoot and our guests couldn't stop talking about how great he was and the drinks. The cake was through the venue and they did better than the picture we sent them and the florist is the sweetest woman in the world and our flowers are still beautiful weeks later. They were even able to squeeze us in this beautiful presidential suite which made the getting ready process so much fun and the night even more special. By having everything there, it made coordinating so flawless and reduced a ton of stress. I am so happy that we used this venue and can't recommend it enough. Make sure to add it to your list to check out and you will love it too. -

Had my husband's birthday party here on 11/21/20 and everything from the staff, to the venue (Bennie's Courtyard), and all the details were amazing. The staff from Emily Kix, the venue coordinator, to Tim, Francisco, and everyone else who worked my party at the 5:00-11pm shift on 11/21 really went above and beyond to ensure my party was smooth and my guests were happy. I'm a high maintenance client as I'm in the events industry and they exceeded my expectations, accommodated every request at the very last minute, took care of my personal items (I brought favors and linens they folded and laid out for me), were timely, responsive, and just overall such a pleasure to work with.
As far as the hotel rooms (we stayed for one night), talk about amazing customer service! My room was spotless, the bed was comfy, the decor was very classic and cute, the pillows were luxurious, there was a light up makeup mirror and seated vanity (made putting on my makeup so comfortable) and because it was my husband's big birthday, they left us a bottle of champagne with a nice handwritten greeting card. I was blown away.
I'm in the events industry and I look at venues all day so it's hard to impress me but The Scottsdale Resort at McCormick Ranch is the best venue I've worked with, easy, affordable, beautiful, great food, staff is on their game, and I've gotten a lot of compliments from my guests about the venue. Not to mention they are super Covid safe (we had our party outside), they spaced out the chairs and tables, they wrap the silverware separately, they always wear masks, and I highly recommend them.The Scottsdale Resort and Spa's reply:

Besides the beautiful property, the wedding package options are flexible and seemed to fulfill anyone's needs. Amanda was our wonderful wedding coordinator. Her organization, follow through and communication was beyond exceptional. We used the in house florist- Kathy! She was amazing and was really able to take my vision for a romantic reception and make it come alive. Mary- was the in house baker. She made a beautiful tiered cake for us that matched the design I shared with her. Having our wedding reception here was an absolute dream and we were so pleased with every aspect of our experience! -

Deanna Sent on 04/21/2014The Scottsdale Resort and Conference Center is truly a hidden gem. The grounds are beautiful and the staff felt like family by the time we said I do. Our coordinator Brittany Ellsworth was so GREAT. She went above and beyond on multiple occasions to make sure our day was complete perfection. Everything went so smooth starting with our planning appointments to the rehearsal, all the way to my walk down the aisle. She cared about all the little things that most people would miss and we felt so lucky to have her to guide us through the process. The florist on site Kathy Cheatham is also AMAZING! She added so many little details and incorporated our favorite things to make our wedding unique and memorable one. I could tell she genuinely loved planning with me and bringing my vision to life, which was absolutely stunning by the way. Brittany and Kathy were both so genuine and personable on top of being extremely talented and professional. The catering staff was so attentive during our reception, we truly felt like a king and queen for the day. If you want a stress free wedding day and a team you can really trust, the Scottsdale Resort is the place to say I do! We love you guys and thanks for making our wedding day one we will never forget! -

From my amazing wedding coordinator, to the friendly staff, and to the beautiful resort itself everything was picture perfect! They assign you a wedding coordinator who is in charge and over sees everything in regards to your wedding. They have a variety of packages to choose from which are reasonably priced! You get a lot for your money at this resort! They go above and beyond what you expect! On my wedding day I was able to get ready in a casita (a mini house) with enough room for hair and makeup and not to mention my huge bridal party! There where so many surprises on my wedding day! They just go out of their way to make your ceremony and reception look like a fairytale! I wouldn't have changed anything! This resort wont let you down! -

We needed to arrange transportation to the ceremony site and the staff was most accomodating. Guests felt they received good service and all seemed to enjoy their stay. -

Kate Sent on 05/31/2012After 10 months of planning my wedding reception, I think it's safe to say that event planner The Amazing Amanda (as I like to call her) has become a friend. Email after email Amanda never said "no" to even my smallest requests. Each time my husband and I stopped in to consult with Amanda or drop something off, we were treated like royalty. Our guests will not stop talking about the service of the staff, the quality of the food, and the comfort of the rooms... not to mention how BEAUTIFUL our reception was! Amanda and her staff at SRCC made the planning process as painless as possible... there's nothing I regret!
Just make sure that your put all adults names on your room reservations, some couples could not check in to their rooms because their spouse was the only name on the reservation.
HUGE thanks to all the staff at SRCC for making an incredibly memorable wedding reception!!! xoxo
