Vernita Dawkins has recently joined the NARS Cosmetics freelance makeup team. Her work has been featured in the September 2012 Editorial magazine, the Spring 2011 On Makeup Magazine by The Powder Group and the January 2010, The Business of Professional Modeling publication. Vernita has also worked on two short films, music gospel video, stage play and TV. She was assistant makeup artist for The Family Dollar Makeovers on the Wendy Williams show and for the filming of the HGTV –White House Christmas Thru the Years in 2011.

Vernita has also provided makeup artistry for local charity fashion shows to support Leukemia & Lymphoma, and the American Association of People with Disabilities. She was also part of the Maisie Dunbar, BluffaJo Cosmetics makeup team during Couture Fashion Week, spring 2009 collection.Vernita also worked as a beauty advisor for Lancome in 2006 at Macy's.
