    A magical day!

    My spouse and I had our wedding at Zhou B Art Center and it was magical! The staff was wonderful and communicated with us through each step of the way. Yes, they have a lot of rules but you are getting married around millions of dollars in art so its a sacrifice you have to decide if you want to make. We knew we didn't want a cookie cutter wedding and we definitely made the right choice. We made sure to check in with them with each step of the way and they were always great at trying to help us have the day of our dreams!!! Our guests are still talking about our big day. We couldn't be happier. HIGHLY RECOMMEND!!!!

    LOVED my venue!

    I had my wedding late summer/early fall and it was amazing! We did a buyout of the whole center do we did not have to do a room flip for our 200 guests. I loved that they had AC control over each room to make sure no matter what we were doing the guests were comfortable because that was a big concern to us and they had all the furniture on site so it saved us a TON on rentals. Their vendor policy kept us in our budget and they did a great job giving us recommendations. They were so great at communication and their director made me feel at ease as we were planning because I was so STRESSED! I highly recommend Zhou B!!!

    My wife and I had our wedding here and it was perfect! It checked all of our boxes we wanted for our big day and we had a great relationship with their team. Every time we had a question they had thoughtful response and pointed us to the best vendors. I don't know why someone is complaining about AC, it was like 80 degrees outside and inside was cool, even when we were dancing up a storm! I would recommend this venue to anyone.

    Great Unique Venue

    From beginning to end the Zhou B team helped make my wedding a success and my guests loved how unique the space was. I highly recommend!

    PERFECT Space for our giant Indian fusion wedding

    Zhou B was so perfect in every way for my Hindu ceremony and epic 300+ person Indian+American fusion reception. I've been a fan of Zhou B for years as an artist and arts appreciator, and I knew I needed it as my wedding venue, especially when I saw they were familiar with all of the MANY bells and whistles involved in traditional Indian weddings. Zhou B is also the ONLY venue in Chicagoland area that offered catering for both Indian and Italian food (everywhere else was either or, OR outrageously expensive to do both). And the alcohol was BYO from Binnies, so we saved a LOT on that. Paulette was an absolute dream to work with, she was so professional and accommodating to the many, many requests that my mother in law and wedding planner made regarding decor, set up and tear down, many specific catering requests and a LONG day-of timeline. The wedding turned out even more beautiful than I could have imagined! The Life Garden was such a gorgeous space for the ceremony, and my guests were blown away by the rest of the space during the cocktail hour and reception. Thank you SO much Paulette and Zhou B staff!! You really blew us away and I'm so grateful.

    Beautiful, Open Venue

    Zhou B is a gorgeous venue. My contact Paulette Eastman was extremely knowledgeable and responsive. We booked a December wedding and got an amazing deal. We booked the whole venue and it was great to have ample space for the wedding, ceremony, and cocktail hour. The venue was gorgeous, the inhouse catering was absolutely delicious.

    Not only is the venue amazing but the staff, especially Tanya, was beyond AMAZING! I have already been recommending people to this venue. They made our wedding day one of the most memorable days. Also, very very easy to work with. Makes for a stress free wedding planning process. HIGHLY RECOMMEND!

    Great open space, wonderful experience

    Such a unique space that can be transformed so many different ways. My wedding was about 150 people on the first floor which made it feel more intimate. There is a larger area on the second floor that can hold as much as 500 people. All of my guests kept telling me how great of a time they had and how much they loved the space. They told me it was the best wedding they’ve ever been to.

    Such a remarkable place to have our ceremony and reception. The location of the venue made it easy for our guests to get to from the south side and the suburbs. This art gallery is huge and we were able to create the event of our dreams. Tanya helped us make our wedding one of the happiest days of our lives.

    Everything was ok until the event was coming near. Could not get into my venue for my own wedding until 10 to 15 min prior, and they told all our vendors the wrong breakdown time! So a little disappointed in that. Space is pretty an unique.

    Be Weary- Would only recommend if you like added stress

    Everything started really well with this venue when we first booked. We had a worker assigned to us and she was pretty responsive and answered all our questions. Then about 3 months before the wedding we stopped getting responses, and if we did get one it was delayed or from someone else. Then 3 weeks from the wedding we found out that our original worker assigned to us was no longer working for them and that we got a new person assigned to us. We also found out that things she told us that she took care of for us, she did not do. Such as reserving the space for our rehearsal and having someone there to let us in prior to the wedding so that the wedding party could get ready. When we told the new guy what the other worker promised us, he eventually agreed to the prior arrangements, but it was a battle to get that all settled. Then came the rehearsal. The new guy was supposed to be there to let us in, but he left prior and told someone else to let us in. They did not let us in at all. We had to let ourselves in through another door. At this point, we were panicking and decided to come up with plan b incase they failed us on the big day. Luckily everything went smoothly on the big day. The added stress with all of this was not worth it at all. If we had to do it all again we would have booked with a different venue.

    I wish I had better things to say.

    It was a heartbreak and a disaster. We got engaged two year ago and immediately got a jump on planning. Zhou B was our first contract. We were charmed by the space, the free event furniture, but mostly the easy going event coordinator that assured us that everything would go smooth. It’s our first wedding so we both came in pretty naïve to wedding planning but Asher answered all our questions. A few months later they stopped answering emails. Our account had been switched to a new point of contact without our knowledge and no one was answering emails about staffing, bar packages, timelines, and floor plans. After we finally got a hold of our new person and walked the space with them we got new emails about how our last person quit and we have a new person, Marcy. Marcy did not let us use the venue for a rehearsal even though before we were assured that if there was no event that day that we could (when pressed she just said they were closed.) She didn’t let us use our caters or our bartenders, and we were forced to get a staffing company and use their bar packages. We used their preferred vendor for staffing (who were amazing) but didn’t do a few things that Marcy required - why are they a preferred vendor if I still need to ask or pay someone to put trash in their car at the end of the night? Then in an in person walk through, she asked “her boss” - who said we could use the on-site dumpsters for the night. We thanked her graciously and then the COMPLETELY NEW point person the day of our event said that Marcy now says we need take trash off site! On the day of your wedding there will be more than enough fires it should be not asking your dad or your brother to put trash in their cars. (We said we wouldn’t be doing that.)

    Finally the most serious violation was not allowing our friend with A SERVICE DOG into our reception. *As per our contract* service dogs are welcome on the premise so I don’t know why our friend was denied entry or a friend had to come tell me and my wife about it. Why wouldn’t a venue coordinator come to us directly to explain that my disabled friend was going to be excluded from our day? After this embarrassing and painful ordeal they decided to go home.

    If you’d like to see contracts, emails, or screenshots of the communication I’d be happy to show you. Somethings were our fault for not getting things in writing, but other things were blatantly against contact/not in the contract. Or in the case of our friends service dog - just illegal.

    I hope your day is beautiful and stress free, and that’s why I felt like I should share my experience with Zhou B Art Center.

    Don't book this venue until you read about our experience. We planned for 18 months for our daughters Quinceanera. The Staff at Zhou B were dishonest, rude and worst of all just did not care that they caused our family so much stress we were unable to rejoice in this most joyous occasion. We are unsure what was worse Donna Bliss's utter disregard for how their incompetence impacted our event or Stephanie Galvin's dishonesty and incompetence. In the beginning before I booked the venue my calls and emails were answered very promptly. About 3 months before the event my emails and phone calls were ignored for days. The only way they would communicate with me was to notify me a payment was due. Donna Bliss and Stephanie Galvin waited until almost 4pm the day before our event to notify our Event Planner they double booked our space and were moving our event to the second floor. Well that might have been an okay solution except the elevator was not working. On the day of our event their building engineer was rude to us and worst of all to our guests. Again utter disregard for customer service! Think about our experience before you book this venue, they just did not care how their decisions caused us undue stress!! They ruined our party we painstakingly planned for over a year.
